Suspected Intra-Shealth Injection
Dr. MacCumber presents the case of a 67-yr old female with a history of epiretinal membrane with macular distortions and edema. Following a retrobulbar block, 20G vitrectomy, and ILM peeling, the patient returns with intraretinal hemorrhages with macular edema and whitening in macula. Although the cause of these symptoms is uncertain, the panel discusses the possibility of intra-sheath injection of the retrobulbar block.
